This holiday apartment is nestled into the lush landscape of the Brunello vineyards in the little village of Sant’Angelo, outside the town of Montalcino in Siena province, providing romantic accommodation for all lovers of Tuscany.
Our home is peaceful and relaxing. It is a row house in Tuscan style, with a small garden hosting an olive tree named Gina, in memory of our beloved granmother.
From our garden you can marvel at and take a 5 minute stroll to Sant’Angelo in Colle, a pictoresque suburb of Montalcino. This ancient village is located on top of a hill surrounded by endless Brunello wineyards. It is a corner of the real Tuscany and keeps an original and genuine atmosphere. It inspires many artists from all over the world to paint the breathtaking sceneries and sunsets that Val d'Orcia can offer.

We love opening for our guests a door towards the real Tuscan life. We can organize wine, cheese and honey tastings as well as bike and hot air balloon tours and help you set up excursions around Val d'Orcia (including a trip to an alpaca farm).

Comfortably furnished holiday apartment in a recently built (2006) stone cottage in a romantic Tuscan style, with a panoramic view of the vineyards from the private balcony

The owner lives in a separate apartment on the lower floor of the cottage and is happy to assist you with any queries. A car is recommended during your stay and there is a secure parking space right in front of the holiday cottage.

The holiday apartment occupies the lower and upper floor of the two-storey stone house from the year 2006 and was completely renovated just recently in 2011. Access to the holiday apartment is through the living and dining room with an integrated, open kitchen. The wooden ceiling beams in the living room enhance the rustic country house atmosphere. It also has a comfortable sofa, a TV, a DVD player, a stereo system and a solid wood dining table with a matching wooden bench. The fully-equipped kitchen has a four-ring gas hob, an electric oven, a fridge with a freezer compartment, microwave, toaster, mixer, juicer and even a bread machine. Wide stairs lead to the upper floor, which has two bedrooms and a daylight bathroom. The two bedrooms each have a double bed measuring 170 x 200cm. One bedroom has direct access to a private balcony, from which you can enjoy an extensive panoramic view over the vineyards. The light and airy bathroom has a shower cubicle, a washbasin with a wall mirror, a hairdryer and a toilet. There is also a washing machine. A reliable and free wireless Internet connection is available during your stay.

The little village of Sant’Angelo is about 10km from the little town of Montalcino with its colourful markets, shops and a good range of cafés and restaurants with regional specialities. The nearest cafés and restaurants are only about 500 metres away in the centre of Sant’Angelo. The nearby Argiano, Velona and Poggio alle Mura castles make worthwhile day trips.

We are two sisters, Minnie and Jenny. Same parents, but one arrived 22 years and one day after the other :-)

Different ages, different personalities, different locations: Jenny lives in Dublin while Minnie lives in Tuscany. Yet, we both have the same mission at heart: hosting in our homes people from all over the world. There are experiences one should live at least once to feel and appreciate the beauty and meaning of life: nature, sun, wine, love, compassion, peace, relaxation.

For all this, we really hope you’ll choose to make our home your own, to unplug and unwind surrounded by the scenery of Val d'Orcia, UNESCO Heritage Site, and its gorgeous nature.

Hills, cypresses, Brunello’s wineyards and springs of thermal water will fill your eyes and hearts with wonder. You'll be able to feel the immensity of the universe spending your evenings watching a bright starry sky while sipping a glass of Brunello wine in our garden.
