As excursion destinations you can visit lookout towers, old castles, mining sites, historical buildings and old towns as well as museums. Why not book a tour of the Hachenburg Westerwald Brewery or stroll through the old town and Hachenburg Castle, which are well worth seeing.

During the summer months, Altenkirchen Flammersfeld and the surrounding communities host numerous small village festivals with their own personal charm.
