“Wir haben 2 wunderbare Wochen im „Spiti Papaya“ verbracht. Positiv: Das ganze Haus ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail geplant, gebaut und eingerichtet worden. Besonders gut, hat uns der kleine, aber feine Garten gefallen: eine echte Oase. Auch wenn es richtig heiss war: der Garten (und auch das Haus) waren immer einige angenehme Grad kühler, so dass es keine (umweltschädliche) Klimaanlage braucht. Die Betten sind komfortabel und haben Moskitonetze, so wie auch vor allen Fenstern und Türen Moskitoschutz angebracht ist. Das Bad ist klein aber völlig ausreichend.
Die Lage ist ziemlich abgeschieden, genau wie wir es wollten. Negativ: Es ist relativ teuer und wir mussten lange dafür sparen, aber es hat sich gelohnt. Restaurant: Rain LIAS - Kleine Taverne mit leckerem Essen. Betrieben wird es von einem sehr netten, älteren Ehepaar. Ausflüge: Dasos Selakano - Schönes Gebiet zum wandern.”

“Das Dörfchen Tertsa ist nicht sehr touristisch. Es gibt ein sehr empfehlenswertes Restaurant und einen einfach gehaltenen, kleinen Super Markt, und einen schönen Sandstrand mit schattemspendenden Felsen. Man findet schnell Anschluss in Tertsa. Die Einheimischen kennen und grüssen einem, und sind sehr freundlich. Das Spiti Papaya ist ein absolutes Hilight und das schönste Haus weit und breit in Tertsa. Es hat einen sunderschönen Garten mit vielen Sitzgelegenheiten, hängematten, Sofas, Grillstelle... Einfach alles was es braucht. Manchmal haben wir auch den Tag einfach im Hausgarten verbracht. Er ist so schön, dass man das Grundstück gar nicht mehr verlassen möchte. Drinnen ist das Gebäude sehr stilvoll eingerichtet, und kleinste Details runden den Gesamteindruck ab. Es hat alles was man zum Kochen, Leben und verweilen braucht. Maria war für uns vor Ort immer erreichbar und gab uns wertvolle Tipps.
Wir waren schon in sehr vielen Ferienwohnungen und Ferienhäusern, und haben über 13 Monate die Welt bereist... Aber so ein Haus, wie das Spiti Papaya, findet man nur ganz ganz selten! Ein Traum! Positiv: Besonders gefallen hat uns die bauweise des Hauses. Das traditionelle Haus ist umgeben von vielen wunderschönen Pflanzen wie Papayas, Olivenbäume, Kakteen. Es ist eine Oase der Ruhe. Negativ: Nichts, wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Restaurant: Lambros - Traditionelles Restaurant. Calamares sind der Hammer! :-)”

“is a lovely house perfect for a relaxing stay. Very close to nice unspoilt beaches, in an authentic very small little village that distilles the South Cretan style of life essence. The house is very well distributed and equipped and plenty of corners to enjoy and relax. The natural materials (stone and wood) used gives the house a charming and warm character where you feel good. The terrain that goes around the house, although not terribly large, is plenty of Mediterranean plants and spaces to enjoy the outdoors life. The roads to reach Tertsa are very scenic, although they require a lot of attention for the driver. The last 500m to reach the house is done thru an unpaved road that does not offer any problem for a regular car. In front of the house there is a little charming church from where sometime arrive chants. Positiv: The house distills it was constructed and equipped for personal usage of the owners, so it has a personal touch and a warming atmosphere that we appreciated very much. It is well equipped and clean. Very quiet neighborhood. Nice distribution and plenty of indoor and outdoor corners and spaces. The garden is not very large but more than enough and very charming, plenty of Mediterranean plants. If you like yoga, there is a nice yoga center 50m from the house. Negativ: Don’t go if you don’t like to be awakened by rooster or birds chants. The services in the small village of Tertsa are limited but generally enough for a vacations stay, that is three taverns and a mini-market.”

“Wer Ruhe und Erholung abseits vom Massentourismus sucht ist hier genau richtig Positiv: sehr ruhig gelegen - fast keine "Zivilisationsgeräusche". "Krach" macht nur die Natur - Zikaden, Grillen, Vögel, etc. Fliegengitter vor allen Türen und Fenstern. Man konnte vor allem Nachts alles offen lassen. Das Haus hat einfach einen eigenen Flair. Schön die vielen Pflanzen. Negativ: Die Straße/Weg zum Haus hat tiefe Schlaglöcher - aber da ist die Gemeinde gefordert”
